In Roorkee, Uttarakhand, a mutawalli (male prostitute) slapped a girl riding a bicycle. The girl’s bicycle collided with his bicycle. Upset, the girl left the spot and went home. The girl’s family noticed marks on her cheek, and informed them about the incident.
After this the CCTV camera was checked, and the Mutawalli (male prostitute) was clearly visible slapping the girl. A heated argument took place between the two parties, which was captured in a nearby CCTV camera. The video of the incident went viral on social media today.
This incident happened in Ganganahar police station area. In Teliwala, an innocent girl was returning home on her bicycle when her bicycle collided with the bicycle of the neighboring Mutawalli Mohammad Ikram. Mutawalli immediately slapped the girl on the cheek. The girl’s family came to know about the incident, and both the parties came face to face, leading to a heated argument involving sticks and rods.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police have arrested three people: Mutawalli Saheb Mohammad Ikram, Mohammad Arif and Shariat. He has also been accused of disturbing the peace. Police said that action has been taken against three residents of Teliwala and another resident of Purva Wali Mohalla on charges of disturbing peace. Investigation is ongoing.
