2026 MG Hector facelift will also get new features in the interior along with updated exterior design.
JSW MG Motor India has today released the teaser of the new MG Hector, which shows a glimpse of the new and more powerful design of this popular SUV. In the picture, Hector’s look looks more muscular and sporty than before, with sharp lines, a strong body stance and a slightly more aggressive style. The most eye-catching thing is the newly designed larger grille, which gives the SUV a more premium and modern look.
With its new updates the company is once again going to set new standards. This time the company will present a great combination of stylish design and smart technology. It is based on MG’s evolving design philosophy with bold looks, modern proportions and user-friendly features.
Big changes can also be seen in the cabin. MG is expected to feature a new dashboard layout, new infotainment system, ventilated seats, new connected-car features and safety features, along with more premium content. Hector has always been a feature-loaded SUV and with the facelift, its technology and comfort levels are likely to improve further.
The new MG Hector facelift aims to further strengthen its hold in the SUV segment. Launched as the brand’s first model in 2019, the MG Hector already comes with a host of features, including a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, over 70 connected features and an ADAS suite. The Hector is also available in a Plus variant that offers a three-row configuration.
Talking about powertrain, MG will provide both petrol and diesel engine options in the new Hector as before. The petrol variant will get a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, which comes with 6-speed manual or CVT gearbox. This engine gives power of 141 bhp and torque of 250 Nm.
At the same time, the diesel variant will get a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, which provides power of 170 PS and peak torque of 350 Nm. This engine will be available only with 6-speed manual transmission. MG has not officially shared the launch timeline of the new Hector facelift, but it is expected that this SUV will reach the dealerships soon and its prices will also see a change.
