New Delhi, December 10 (IANS). For good health, people include different types of things in their plate. Now kale has also been included in all these things. Kale vegetable has rich nutrition. Ayurveda considers it to be a vegetable that lightens the body, strengthens digestion and purifies the blood. At the same time, science also says that it contains high amounts of vitamins and antioxidants.
According to the American National Library of Medicine, kale helps to give new energy to the body and increase its ability to fight diseases. It contains Vitamin-K, Vitamin-A, Vitamin-C, calcium, fiber and many types of antioxidants, which relieve everyday fatigue.
Vitamin K present in kale does not allow blood to clot. It strengthens our bones so that they do not weaken with age. Vitamin A improves eyesight, skin glow and strengthens immunity. From children to adults, this vitamin plays a big role in protecting the body from infections.
Vitamin C present in kale increases the level of antioxidants in the body, which eliminate harmful elements formed in the body.
In Ayurveda, Kale has been called Asthi-Dhatu Pushtikaraka, that is, it is a food that strengthens bones. It is said in Ayurveda that when ‘Ama’ i.e. body impurities increases in the body, the skin starts withering, fatigue increases, and diseases take hold quickly. Regular consumption of kale cleanses these impurities, making the body feel light, full of energy and clean.
Kale is also beneficial for heart health. According to scientific research, kale contains natural elements that reduce bad cholesterol and keep blood vessels flexible. When veins remain flexible, the heart has to work less hard to pump blood. This is why kale can also help in controlling high blood pressure.
Kale is no less than a boon for digestion too. The fiber present in it helps in cleaning the intestines. It is said in Ayurveda that when the intestines remain clean, the mind remains calm and energy remains doubled. Kale is helpful in removing unwanted substances from the intestines, which can relieve common problems like constipation.
