Rae Bareli, December 17 (). In Rae Bareli, following strict instructions from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the police were seen in full action mode. As part of the campaign being run by the UP government against infiltrators, Rae Bareli Police conducted a large-scale checking campaign. The objective of this campaign is to identify suspicious and illegally settled people living in the district.

The police conducted a thorough search of houses along the railway line specifically to look for Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators. During this time the people living there were interrogated and their identity documents were checked. During this period, many houses were found locked, information about which was recorded by the police.

During investigation it also came to light that some people have been living in Rae Bareli district for many years, but they are residents of other districts. The documents of all such outsiders will be verified from the concerned police stations. Police have clarified that further legal action will be taken if found suspicious.

Regarding this action, CO City said that this checking campaign will continue in future also. Infiltrators and people living illegally will be identified and if necessary, legal action will be taken against them.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given strict instructions to the officials regarding identifying the infiltrators and taking action against them. CM has ordered that the district administration should ensure identification of illegal infiltrators living in their area and initiate action as per rules. Temporary detention centers should be created in every district to keep infiltrators.

Illegal persons who have entered India holding foreign citizenship will be kept in these centers and will have to stay there till the necessary verification process is completed. The infiltrators kept in the detention center will be sent to their native country as per the prescribed procedure.
