Thug Sukesh Chandrashekhar has filed a petition before Special Judge (ASJ) Prashant Sharma in Patiala House Court, Delhi. In the petition, Sukesh has said that he is ready to give ₹217 crore to Aditi Singh, who complained in the extortion case of ₹200 crore. However, he clarified that he was giving this amount without compromising his legal rights and this should not be considered as a confession of crime.
Sukesh Chandrashekhar has said that giving money does not mean his crime, but he is taking this step for other reasons.
Hearing will be held on January 3, 2026
The court has fixed the next hearing date as January 3, 2026. In the petition, the petitioner has sought permission to settle the case related to the FIR registered by the Special Cell of Lodhi Colony. Accused Sukesh Chandrashekhar has appealed to the court to issue a notice to the complainant and record that the settlement proposal is correct and subject to his consent.
Case of fraud of ₹200 crore registered
Delhi Police has registered a case against Sukesh Chandrashekhar for defrauding the wives of former Ranbaxy promoters Shivinder Singh and Malvinder Singh of ₹200 crore. Many investigations are going on across the country against Sukesh. Police arrested Sukesh Chandrashekhar and his associate A. Paulos has been arrested in an extortion case. He is also being prosecuted under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and is being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate.
Use of hawala channels and network of shell companies
Police have also invoked Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) in this case. According to the police, Chandrashekhar, Paulos and other accused are accused of using a network of hawala channels and shell companies to launder and conceal the proceeds of crime. The court has not yet given any order on the settlement application.
