Jaipur. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that the spirit of nation building which is born in the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is later realized on the ground. Many workers who emerged from the Vidyarthi Parishad are established in high positions today. He said that the values of discipline and dutifulness found in the organization are proving to be the foundation of building a strong and prosperous nation. Sharma was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the 61st provincial convention of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in Jaipur on Monday. He said that more than 700 Karmayogi students from 23 districts have gathered in this convention and more than 1 thousand educationists and students are becoming a part of this event. ABVP is the architect of many movements that gave new direction to the country.
The Chief Minister said that Vidyarthi Parishad has been making an incomparable contribution in preserving the integrity and dignity of India for more than 7 decades. Whenever it comes to any youth organization about Indianness and patriotism, the name of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is taken with respect and pride. He said that ABVP has been the architect of many movements that have given a new direction to the country. Such movements include the campaign against the atrocities in the country by Bangladeshi infiltrators in the 1970s and the creation of a healthy environment in universities.
Unprecedented changes took place in the country after 2014
Sharma said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, unprecedented changes have taken place in the country after 2014. The state government is also taking forward the idea of Antyodaya of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and ensuring that the benefits of public welfare schemes reach the last person. He said that the Prime Minister, through his policies, promoted farmers, gave respect to women, connected villages with roads, recognized the power of youth, empowered poor and laborers and provided free medical facilities to the countrymen.
No place for infiltrators in Rajasthan
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the High Powered Demography Mission. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also said that the infiltrators will be selectively taken out. In this connection, now we have started this work in Rajasthan also, there is no place for infiltrators in Rajasthan. He said that the new education policy under the leadership of the Prime Minister is an important step in taking forward the Indian knowledge tradition. Now education in Indian languages is being promoted. Rajasthan is also taking new steps in this campaign every day.
Historic work done in the last two years, which the previous government could not do in the last five years
Sharma said that the disappointment of the youth in Rajasthan was at its peak during the previous government. Paper leaks and corruption were at their peak. Our government has recently completed two years. In these two years, we have done so much development work that the previous government could not do even in five years. He said that we have promised to provide 4 lakh government jobs in five years. In this series, 92 thousand youth have been given government jobs, 20 thousand will be given next month. At the same time, more than 1.50 lakh appointments are under process.
Work done by making a roadmap for the development of the state
The Chief Minister said that we made a roadmap for the development of Rajasthan as soon as we came into government. Various decisions were taken including Ramjal Setu Link Project, Dewas Project, Yamuna Water Agreement, repair of Indira Gandhi Ganganahar. He said that we have also taken many important decisions regarding electricity. We had promised the farmers that we will provide electricity during the day, in this direction we are now providing electricity during the day in 22 districts. Soon the state will become self-sufficient in electricity. Also, Rising Rajasthan was organized in the very first year. Due to this, employment opportunities are being created in the private sector. He said that we are also bringing youth policy soon. Sharma called upon the youth to become job givers and not job takers and play an important role in developed Rajasthan.
Sharma said that the state government has established a total of 65 I-Start Launchpad Nests in selected schools and colleges in 33 districts. Apart from this, important works like establishment of 71 new government colleges, starting new subjects in 49 post-graduate level and 58 graduate level colleges, starting new faculty of science in 12 colleges and commerce in 5 colleges have also been done.
National Co-Organization Minister of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Devdutt Joshi said that Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is not just a student organization but an ideological movement giving positive direction to the youth. He said that today more than 76 lakh students are associated with the council and in the coming time this number will reach 1 crore. He said that the Council is always ready to protect the educational, social and national interests of the students.
On this occasion, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s regional campaigner Nimbaram said that the working methodology and discipline of the Rashtriya Vidyarthi Parishad organization embodies the slogan of student power-nation power. He said that student power should not be limited to campus only, but it should play an active role in nation building tasks. He inspired the youth to connect with the glorious culture and history of India.
During this, ABVP Jaipur State President Jinesh Jain and office bearers along with a large number of students were present.
