New Delhi, January 21 (IANS). Whenever it comes to facial glow, we first think of creams, serums, face packs and expensive parlor treatments. But, Ayurveda’s opinion is completely different from this. Ayurveda says that real beauty does not come from outside, but from inside the body, especially from our liver.
According to Ayurveda, the complexion, glow and freshness of the face is directly related to the pigment pitta, which is located in the liver and spleen. If the pigment pitta is functioning properly, the blood remains pure and its effect is directly visible on the face.
Five types of bile have been described in Ayurveda, among which the function of pigment bile is very special. Its main function is to convert juice made from food into blood. That means it is an important part of the blood making process. When Pigment Pitta remains balanced, hemoglobin in the body remains correct, fatigue is reduced and the skin gets a natural glow. But, when it worsens, yellowness, dark circles, pigmentation, acne and lifelessness become visible on the face.
Today’s lifestyle is causing the most harm to pigmented bile. Staying up late at night, junk food, excessive fried and spicy food, alcohol, cigarettes and constant stress all weaken the liver. It directly affects the pigment bile. The result is that the blood becomes impure and the body shows it outside, especially on the face. Therefore, just applying cream does not solve the real problem.
According to Ayurveda, diet plays the most important role in pacifying and strengthening Rajak Pitta. Food items like amla, pomegranate, beetroot, dry grapes and coconut water purify the blood and strengthen the liver. Herbs like Giloy, Bhringraj and Bhumi Amla work as liver tonics. It is also important to control anger and stress, because excessive anger directly affects the liver.
