New Delhi, January 30 (IANS). Amla is a medicine available in winter, by consuming which every disease of the body can be cured.
In Ayurveda, Amla is called “nectar fruit”, which is beneficial for the face and hair, from purifying the blood. Till now everyone consumes Amla juice or tries to eat the astringent taste of Amla, both of which affect the taste of the mouth, but do you know that Amla water is as beneficial as Amla juice?
In Ayurveda, Amla is considered to balance Tridosha. Consumption of Amla balances Vata, Pitta and Kapha and helps in purifying the blood. Many times it becomes difficult for people to drink Amla juice, but if they consume Amla water, it will be as beneficial as the juice.
Amla water is based on this philosophy. This is not a quick fix, nor an attempt to forcibly change the body, but rather builds ojas while maintaining the nature of digestive fire while pacifying pitta. For this, grate Amla at night or cut it into small pieces and soak it in a glass of water. Boil water in the morning, filter it and consume it.
Amla water pacifies pitta, builds ojas, calms acidity and internal heat of the body, boosts immunity, improves hair and skin, purifies blood and removes toxins from the body. Amla water works like a chemical and should be consumed daily on an empty stomach for about 1 month.
The thing to note is that if the digestive power is weak then do not consume Amla juice and if you are infected with cold and have cough problem, then also avoid consuming Amla juice. Amla juice has a cooling effect, which can further increase phlegm.
