Ajmer. Bishop Ramson Victor (Diocese of Rajasthan) of the Church of North India said that the schemes of the Central Government have provided many opportunities to minority communities for employment and becoming self-reliant. He told that many people have got financial assistance through Minority Development and Finance Corporation, so that they can start their work and stand on their feet. Bishop Ramson Victor told that the benefits of the government schemes are reaching all minority communities, including the Christian community. He especially praised the ‘Hamari Dharohar Yojana’ and said that this initiative has played an important role in the preservation and promotion of Christian cultural heritage. Along with this, under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram, improvements have been made in schools, hostels, health centers and community buildings, which has directly benefited the weaker sections of the society. Ramson Victor also said that ‘Nai Roshni Yojana’ has given courage to women to move forward. Through this scheme, women have received training related to leadership skills, financial literacy and self-confidence, due to which they are playing a strong role in their family and society.
Bishop Victor said that Prime Minister Modi is continuously taking positive steps for minorities. Christian institutions, schools, hospitals and social organizations are also actively involved in social service work with the help of the government and are providing help to the needy people.
Regarding the Union Budget to be presented on February 1, he said that all communities have great expectations from it. The minority community also wants that special attention should be given to their welfare in this budget. He expressed confidence that the government will make such provisions in the budget, which will benefit not only the minorities but every section of the country and the pace of development will accelerate.
Ramson Victor also appreciated the recent steps of the Prime Minister. He said that PM Modi’s arrival at the Cathedral of Redemption in Delhi on the occasion of Christmas is a symbol of the government’s sense of respect and cooperation towards all religions and communities. There the Prime Minister interacted with all the bishops present, which sent a positive message to the society.
He said that it is the responsibility of all of us to contribute to the good efforts being made by the government and work together for the development of the society. Bishop Victor expressed confidence that in the coming budget, concrete steps will be taken keeping in mind the interests of minorities and new opportunities for development and welfare will be created for the citizens of the entire country.
