New Delhi. 2 February (IANS). India AI Impact Summit 2026 has seen over 35,000 registrations so far. In this, more than 500 startups from more than 100 countries will participate in 500 sessions. This information was given by the Ministry of Electronics and IT on Monday.
The statement issued by the ministry said that the India AI Impact Summit, which is scheduled to be held in New Delhi on 16-20 February 2026. It is expected to be the largest of the four Global AI Summits held so far, reflecting the growing international momentum around responsible, inclusive and impact-driven Artificial Intelligence.
The statement further said that the conference has attracted unprecedented interest with over 35,000 registrations from countries across the world. Priority will be given to implementing the vision, with a clear focus on outcomes that matter at the ground level.
Governments, industrialists, researchers, civil society organizations and international institutions will attend the event to actively participate in shaping the agenda of the summit. More than 100 countries are expected to participate in it, which includes 15 to 20 heads of state, more than 50 ministers from different countries and more than 40 CEOs of global and Indian companies. Nearly 500 key individuals from the global AI ecosystem, including innovators, researchers and chief technology officers, are also expected to attend.
According to the ministry, highlighting the depth and diversity of participation, the summit will feature a startup showcase of over 500 AI startups and around 500 sessions alongside the main event, making it one of the most comprehensive global events focused on AI.
Equally important is the level of participation before the summit. Over 1,300 proposals have been received for pre-summit events, with over 500 pre-summit events organized so far across various regions and sectors in India as well as globally. The Summit Framework also includes seven key events, collectively involving over 3,00,000 participants, reflecting the widespread national and international interest in the AI Impact Summit process.
The process of the Global AI Summit has evolved over time, starting with an initial focus on the risks of AI at Bletchley Park, then discussing ethics and inclusion in Seoul, and later moving towards implementing shared principles in Paris. This summit reflects India’s growing role in global AI discussions.
