New Delhi, February 5 (IANS). Union Minister Chirag Paswan said on the opposition’s walkout during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech in the Rajya Sabha that the problem of the opposition is that they raise questions but do not want to hear the answers to the questions.
While talking to IANS in New Delhi, Union Minister Chirag Paswan said that one should have the courage to listen to the answers to all the questions raised by the opposition. The PM wanted to speak in the Lok Sabha, but it was not possible due to the uproar by the opposition. When he was speaking in Rajya Sabha, the opposition walked out. Prime Minister Modi answered every question of the opposition. The real problem of the opposition is that they raise questions but do not want to hear the answers to the questions. The beauty of democracy is that you can ask difficult questions, but in a dignified manner. It is not necessary to climb on the chair. You can express even the strongest opposition in dignified words.
He said that the Leader of the Opposition needs to learn from Prime Minister Modi how to answer questions in his own words in a dignified manner. If the opposition leaders had also asked questions in a dignified manner, they would have received answers to their questions. The question is that the opposition asks questions but is not ready to take answers.
On the behavior of opposition women MPs around PM Modi’s seat in the Lok Sabha, Chirag Paswan said that it was a serious incident. I was present in the House at that time. A group of women was moving towards the Prime Minister’s chair. I am not saying that the situation would have turned violent, but if something unpleasant or indecent had happened it would have been a big stain on Parliament. There is so much power in your speech that you can ask even the toughest questions. Then why is there a need to climb on a table or chair? You can ask questions from your seat itself. Today PM Modi answered the opposition’s questions in the Rajya Sabha.
Chirag Paswan said that the opposition will not allow the Question Hour to continue. If the aim is to create ruckus, then it does not strengthen the definition of democracy in any way.
