The UAE Floating Hospital, located at Egypt’s Al Arish port, has admitted 10 more patients from the Gaza Strip in the last three days. The move comes after the reopening of the Rafah crossing, which is allowing injured and sick Palestinians to be brought out for treatment. The hospital administration has said that they are fully prepared to help more patients and necessary facilities are available here.

How is the opening of Rafa crossing helping?
According to reports, 10 new patients have been brought to the hospital till 7 February 2026. With the opening of the Rafah crossing, the work of evacuating the injured has been able to resume. Hospital director Dr. Ali Saeed Al Kaabi has informed that the hospital is working at its full capacity. Patients coming here are selected after a medical checkup at the Rafah crossing, with priority given to patients with serious injuries or chronic diseases.
What facilities are being provided free in the hospital?
This hospital is being run under ‘Operation Gallant Knight 3’. Here, 100 beds have been arranged for the treatment of patients and 100 beds for the accommodation of their accompanying families. Here all medical services like surgeries, medicines, and prosthetics are provided absolutely free of cost. Since opening in 2024, more than 5,200 surgeries have been performed here and more than 12,000 medical services have been provided.
