Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara comes with 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery options and is priced under BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) model starting at Rs 10.99 lakh
Maruti Suzuki has launched its first electric SUV e-Vitara in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and this price is including battery. Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara electric SUV is available in Delta, Zeta and Alpha variants. The price of Delta variant is Rs 15.99 lakh, Zeta variant is priced at Rs 17.49 lakh and Alpha variant is priced at Rs 19.79 lakh.
Whereas the dual-tone color option of Alpha variant is available for Rs 20.01 lakh. Besides, the company has also introduced BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) model. In this option the initial price of the vehicle is reduced. The price of Delta variant is Rs 10.99 lakh, Zeta variant is priced at Rs 11.99 lakh, Alpha variant is priced at Rs 14.29 lakh and dual-tone Alpha is priced at Rs 14.51 lakh.
Under this scheme, customers will have to pay per kilometer charge for the battery, which is Rs 3.99/km in Delta and Rs 4.39/km in Zeta and Alpha. The BaaS plan includes a free home charger and its installation. However, this offer is for a limited time. Customers purchasing at full price will also be given a free home charger till March 31.
The Delta variant has a 49 kWh LFP battery and Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), which gives power of 105.8 kW (142 hp) and torque of 193 Nm. This setup offers a range of 440 km. The battery takes about 6.5 hours to charge 10-100% with a 7.4 kW AC charger, while 10-80% charging with a DC fast charger takes 45 minutes.
The Zeta and Alpha variants have a larger 61 kWh battery and a more powerful motor (128 kW / 172 hp). In this the range increases to 543 km. The larger battery takes about 9 hours to charge 10-100% with an AC charger, while 10-80% charging with a DC charger is possible in 45 minutes.
This electric SUV is based on the Heartect-e skateboard platform. This electric The SUV has a length of 4,275 mm, width of 1,800 mm and height of about 1,640 mm, wheelbase of 2,700 mm, ground clearance of 185 mm and boot space of 310 liters. Features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster, powered front seats, automatic climate control, connected-car technology and 360-degree camera.
Apart from this, level-2 ADAS features like adaptive cruise control are also provided. In the Indian market, this new electric SUV competes with models like Hyundai Creta EV, Mahindra XEV 9e, MG ZS EV and Tata Curve EV. The company is also offering special ownership benefits to attract customers. This includes assured buyback of 60 percent after three years, free home charger installation, 8 years warranty and free public charging for one year.
