America has suddenly increased its military strength in the Middle East. This is America’s largest military deployment since the Iraq War in 2003. This fleet includes two large aircraft carriers, warships and hundreds of state-of-the-art fighter jets. This movement is taking place at a time when tensions with Iran regarding the nuclear program are at their peak.
America’s gathering in the sky and sea
According to reports, America has doubled its strength in the Gulf region in the last few days. According to the information till 20 February 2026, more than 120 aircraft have been deployed there. The world’s largest warship USS Gerald R. Ford is also joining it. This deployment is so huge that more than 50 new fighter jets have arrived there in the last 24 hours alone.
USS Abraham Lincoln: This strike group is already present and monitoring in the Arabian Sea.
USS Gerald R. Ford: This huge carrier is coming from the Caribbean with its 3 destroyers and 5000 soldiers.
Fighter aircraft: Deadly aircraft like F-35 stealth, F-22 and F-16 have been sent.
Military flights: More than 150 cargo flights have been used to transport military equipment.
Warning given to Iran and impact on common people
The main reason behind this heavy deployment is the ongoing tension with Iran. US President Donald Trump has clearly warned that Iran has barely 10 to 15 days for a nuclear and missile agreement. He has said that if things are not followed then the consequences can be bad.
Activities have intensified at Qatar’s Al Udeid and Jordan’s air bases. This news is important for people living in Gulf countries because this tension can have a direct impact on oil prices and flights. At present, a total of 14 warships and heavy air forces of America have strengthened their hold in the area.
