Nainital, 15 September (IANS). With the sudden change in the weather of Nainital, the outbreak of viral fever has started increasing rapidly. The number of patients is being seen in the city’s largest hospital BD Pandey District Hospital these days.
OPD and emergency ward of BD Pandey District Hospital are seeing a crowd of patients since morning. Everyday hundreds of patients are arriving here with complaints like cold, cough, sore throat, headache and high fever. The viral fever is the most afflicted children.
Dr. MS Dugtal, Senior Physician of BD Pandey District Hospital, said that due to the change in weather, the number of viral fever patients is increasing at this time. People are falling ill due to sudden ups and downs in the weather. Most patients are reaching the hospital with symptoms like headache, body pain, sore throat, water from the eyes and frequent fever. People are also falling ill due to eating more cold in this season.
Dr. Dugtal advised people to be vigilant and said that if someone sees the initial symptoms of viral fever, then a doctor should be consulted immediately and should avoid negligence. Along with treatment, it is also very important to take care.
He said that if someone falls ill, drink lukewarm water, wear masks, keep distance from people, consume hot food and if you are ill, then stay at home and get treatment. Follow all the precautions mentioned by the doctor.
The rapidly growing viral fever cases in Nainital have increased the concern of the health department. In such a situation, health experts are appealing to the public not to be negligent towards their health and take the symptoms seriously and contact the doctor immediately.
