New Delhi, March 15 (IANS). Some people feel symptoms like blocked nose, sneezing and heaviness in the head as soon as they wake up in the morning.
Usually it is ignored considering it to be a common cold or change in weather, but it could be a chronic cold. Chronic cold is a common but troublesome problem, but when the condition worsens, it can lead to the problem of sinus or nasal bone growth.
In Ayurveda, chronic cold is associated with a condition related to Kapha dosha. When phlegm increases excessively in the body, it starts accumulating in the nose and head. This is not felt while sleeping at night, but as soon as you wake up in the morning, you feel blocked nose and also feel slight cold. Wrong eating habits and cold things can also increase it. The solution to chronic cold is hidden in Ayurveda, which you can treat at home.
First let us know the reasons behind this problem, which include waking up late at night, excessive use of cold water or frozen items, prolonged exposure to dust and pollution, weak immunity, and frequent infections. According to Ayurveda, simple remedies like basil, ginger, and hot water can be helpful to get rid of these problems. Pranayama and correct daily routine also play an important role in this. It is possible to gradually improve this problem by making small changes.
Start your morning with warm water. It helps in melting the phlegm and expelling it. Take steam twice a week. It helps in reducing obstructions in breathing. Along with this, drink turmeric milk, basil-ginger tea, lukewarm oil in the nose, light food at night, and avoid cold things. All these things will help in preventing phlegm from increasing in the body, which will reduce the problem of blocked nose in the morning.
