Exicom Tele-Systems Limited has started its new manufacturing plant in Hyderabad. This company is among the leading companies providing EV charging and critical power solutions in India. Many experts and industry people from telecom and electric vehicle sectors were present in the inauguration program of the plant. With the opening of this new plant, the manufacturing capacity of the company will increase and more products related to power electronics will also be produced.
The company has invested about Rs 216 crore in building this new and modern plant. This plant is spread over approximately 18.4 acres of land and its total built up area is approximately 6.43 acres. With the commencement of this plant, the production capacity of the company will increase by about 2.5 times in the first phase itself. Also, this project is expected to provide employment to more than 750 people in the area.
This new manufacturing plant is designed to meet the rapidly growing demand for EV charging infrastructure, lithium-ion battery systems and critical power solutions. These technologies are used in electric mobility, telecom networks, data centers and other critical sectors where continuous and reliable power supply is required.
This plant is based on Industry 4.0 technology, in which modern technologies like advanced automation, robotics and digital tracking have been used. It has an ISO-8 cleanroom facility and high-precision manufacturing system to enable precision manufacturing of power electronics products on a large scale. Apart from this, special testing facilities have also been created here, where the products can be tested in real conditions.
The company also plans to build India’s first EV charger interoperability testing center here. Its purpose is to ensure better compatibility of EV chargers with different electric vehicles. Apart from this, this plant will also play an important role in the manufacturing of Tritium’s TRI-FLEX liquid-cooled power modules. The plant is certified to several international standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018. This shows that the company is fully committed to maintaining high quality and world-class manufacturing standards.
The company’s CEO and MD Anant Nahata said, “This new plant brings together state-of-the-art technology, advanced automation and rigorous quality testing. This will help the company innovate faster and scale up production on a larger scale. At the same time, special attention has also been paid to making this plant environment friendly.”
Facilities like 40 percent greenery, 1 MW rooftop solar plant, rainwater harvesting system and sewage treatment plant have been created in this complex. The plant has been designed as per IGBC green building standards. Overall, this new plant in Hyderabad will play an important role in strengthening the development of power electronics and EV charging infrastructure in India.
