There was a ruckus in the House when Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie wanted to intervene on the question of Khanpur MLA Suresh Gurjar. However, the Speaker of the Assembly did not allow him. The chairman said that this question is related to the area of the concerned MLA and the MLAs are capable of presenting their own side. At the same time, Julie’s argument was that as the Leader of Opposition, he has the right to intervene on any question. The opposition lodged a strong protest and started shouting slogans. The chairman announced the postponement of the proceedings amid opposition from opposition members.
Earlier, Khanpur MLA Suresh Gurjar had questioned how many cases the police have not been able to disclose in the cases recorded in the last two years and how many cases have been stopped. He also asked how the recovery was shown when the accused were not arrested.
In response, Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham said that despite all efforts, the accused could not be detected in many cases, so the investigation was stopped and FR was imposed. He said that in the remaining cases, an SIT has been constituted to find out the accused and an attempt will be made to reveal the cases as soon as possible.
The Minister of State also clarified that many times the police leave the goods under pressure and run away. Among the cases mentioning the MLA Gurjar, the accused also escaped leaving the truck and motorcycles, so the recovery was shown.
