Vida has started a special initiative called ‘6 for 6’, in which a 6kW fast charger will be installed on every six of Kolkata Knight Riders in this IPL season.
Vida has launched a new initiative for the T20 season in collaboration with Kolkata Knight Riders, linking sports and the environment. Under this campaign named ‘6 for 6’, every time a KKR batsman hits a six, a step forward will be taken to expand the EV charging network in the country. It’s not just branding, but directly linking on-field performance to real-world development.
Under this initiative, Vida will add a 6 kW fast charger to its network for every six. That means every big shot will now contribute to strengthening the country’s EV infrastructure. This initiative comes at a time when charging facility remains a key issue for the adoption of electric vehicles in India.
Hero MotoCorp’s Vida brand is already growing rapidly in the region and is present with thousands of fast charging points across multiple cities. This new campaign will help in further expanding this network. To make this partnership more special, charging stations inspired by KKR’s colors are also being installed at different places.
Vida’s fast charger can charge the electric scooter from 0 to 80 percent in about an hour. Apart from this, many charging stations are also being installed on highways and major roads, so that range anxiety can be reduced during long distance travel. The company also offers the facility of removable battery, so that users can charge it from a normal plug at home.
Commenting on the initiative, Kausalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer, Emerging Mobility Unit, Hero MotoCorp, said, “Cricket has the power to connect and inspire crores of people in the country. Every big shot through the ‘6 for 6’ campaign will be a step towards a cleaner and better mobility future.”
Recently Vida has also launched VX2 Plus KKR Limited Edition, which has Knight Purple and Gold color theme. Its design comes with special graphics, pearl black base and unique detailing, which makes it more attractive. The company also said that for every victory of Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League 2026, one player of the team will be given a special VX2 Plus KKR Limited Edition scooter, on which the name and jersey number of that player will be written.
