A very sad news has come from Kuwait. An Indian citizen has lost his life in an attack on a power and water plant there. According to Kuwaiti officials, the attack took place on Sunday evening in which a service building of the plant was extensively damaged. After this incident, security agencies in Kuwait are on alert and repair work has been started on the affected plant so that people continue to get necessary facilities.

Situation after the attack and official statement
Fatima Abbas, spokeswoman for Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy (MEWRE), said the incident was confirmed on Monday, March 30, 2026. An Indian worker has died in the attack and the machines of the plant have also been damaged. However, the government has said that emergency teams are working at full capacity to maintain normal supply of electricity and water.
The Indian Embassy is in constant touch with the Kuwaiti authorities. All possible efforts are being made to provide all possible help to the family of the deceased Indian citizen. The Kuwait government has appealed to the public to rely only on news from official sources. Technical and emergency teams were dispatched to the spot immediately after the attack.
Security in Kuwait and statistics of attacks so far
Kuwait’s Defense Ministry said that 14 ballistic missiles and 12 drones were seen in their skies on Sunday night. Some of these missiles also fell on a military camp, injuring 10 army personnel. Amidst this ongoing tension since February 2026, Kuwait has so far shot down a large number of missiles and drones.
