Jodhpur. Rajasthan Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma visited Jodhpur on Wednesday and held a review meeting with police officers to control crime. In the press conference held after the meeting, the DGP said that the crime rate in the state is being steadily declining and the police is committed to providing a fear -free environment to the common man.
He informed that a special campaign will be launched across the state to keep the youth away from drugs. Under this, awareness programs will be organized in colleges and schools, so that students can be sensitive to the ill effects of drugs.
The DGP said that the safety of women and girls will be given top priority. For this, security arrangements will be made more strong in the entire Rajasthan including Jodhpur. Also, law and order will be strengthened by taking strict action against criminals.
Sharma said that the Rajasthan Police is constantly succeeding in curbing crime with monitoring and using modern technology, and it will be strictly implemented in the coming time.
