New Delhi, April 16 (IANS). In today’s busy life, people often ignore their rest and relaxation, which has a negative impact on health, but health experts believe that it is very important to take care of oneself in the busy routine. This not only improves efficiency but also keeps the mind stress free.
According to the National Health Mission (NHM), getting adequate rest is the easiest and most effective way to maintain functionality. It is natural to get physically and mentally tired due to continuous work, but if we do not take rest on time, both our productivity and health get affected. Health experts say that to work better, hard work alone is not enough, but regular rest is also necessary. When we rest well, both our body and mind become refreshed. This increases concentration, improves decision making ability and reduces mistakes in work.
According to NHM, “Taking care of yourself is your biggest responsibility. A tired body and mind can neither work well nor last long.” In such a situation, it is important to maintain a balance between work and life. If we keep ourselves healthy and happy, only then we will be able to handle our family and work well. In such a situation, experts recommend taking out at least 30-45 minutes for yourself every day. Take short breaks, do not work continuously for too long. Take complete rest one day a week. Make rest an important part of your daily routine to maintain both health and performance.
Health experts give some tips, according to which take adequate rest after returning home, switch off mobile and laptop as soon as you reach home after work. have a good sleep. It is very important to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep at night. Spend time in your favorite activities, give time to your hobbies. Reading a book, listening to music, gardening, talking to friends or playing a sport—these small activities refresh the mind and reduce stress.
Maintain mental balance. For this, spend some time with yourself every day. Meditation, yoga, breathing exercises or just sitting quietly and thinking positive are also beneficial for mental health. This reduces anxiety and stress.
