Mumbai The Bombay High Court on Friday received a threatening email, stating that the bomb was planted in the court premises and would be flown. This email stirred security agencies.

As soon as the threat was received, the Mumbai Police and the bomb squad team reached the High Court campus. A intensive search operation was carried out throughout the region. The court premises and the surrounding areas were closely investigated, but nothing suspects were recovered.
A Mumbai Police official said we had received an threatened email. Immediate action was taken on the information and the bomb squad investigated. No suspicious items have been found during the investigation. We are trying to trace the person sending an email.
Security has been increased in the High Court premises after the threat. Intensive checking of visitors is being done and the police is closely monitored on every activity.
Earlier, on September 12, the Bombay High Court received an email threatening to blow up, which was later found to be false in the investigation. Due to this incident, the hearing of all benchs in the High Court was stopped and the court premises were immediately evacuated for security. The bomb disposal squad (BDDS) was called on the spot, which conducted a thorough search inside and outside the High Court, but no suspicious item was found. A case was registered against an unknown person at Azad Maidan police station after this threat was found to be false.
The Mumbai Police had issued an official statement in this regard stating that Azad Maidan Police Station has registered an FIR (FIR) under Section 353 (1) and 353 (2) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) in case of bomb threatening emails received by the Bombay High Court. The police had started a thorough investigation into the case and strived to get to the bottom of it.
