Peg. The police of Khunti district of Jharkhand has achieved a major success against the banned militant organization PLFI. Police have arrested three active hardcore members of the organization, who were planning to collect levy and spread terror in the area. The arrested militants have been identified as Samuel Gudiya (20 years), Dheeraj Swansi (19 years) and Sunil Swansi (28 years). Khunti Superintendent of Police Rishabh Garg said that he had received accurate information about a secret meeting of PLFI members in the forests of Murhu and plans to expand the organization. Based on the information, a special raid team was formed under the leadership of Torpa SDPO. The police team laid siege to the forest and arrested all three. Police have recovered a country-made pistol, 8 mm live cartridges, PLFI pamphlets, mobile phone and other suspicious items from them.
The militants arrested during interrogation have admitted their involvement in many serious criminal incidents. He confessed that on April 30, he had carried out the incident of firing and arson on vehicles engaged in railway construction work at Katamkuku in Karra police station area.
Apart from this, he also played a role in the firing on a gas supply vehicle in Torpa police station area. In all these cases, FIRs have been registered in various police stations of the district. The police have obtained information from him about many other members of the organization. Based on this, preparations are being made to take action against him.
Police force personnel including Karra, Torpa and Jariagarh police station in-charge were involved in this successful operation. SP Rishabh Garg said that the campaign against militants will continue in the district.
