There was a stir at the toll plaza in Rajasthan’s Jalore district on Tuesday night when a young man allegedly pointed a pistol at the toll worker when he asked for toll fee and ran away from there threatening him. According to the information, at around 8.15 pm, a Swift car going from Bishangarh towards Sayla stopped at the toll gate. The employees on duty demanded toll tax as per rules, on which the young man in the car got angry.
It is alleged that the young man took out the pistol from the car window and showed it to the toll worker and threatened him. After this he waved the pistol in the air, which spread panic among the employees present on the spot.
After this incident the young man quickly left the place without paying toll. The entire incident created an atmosphere of chaos at the toll plaza and the employees immediately informed the police. Based on the complaint of the toll manager, the police took action and detained the concerned youth. The police are now investigating whether the accused had a weapon license or not and why he committed such an act.
Local people say that such an incident raises serious security questions at the toll plaza, because hundreds of vehicles pass there every day and employees are on duty. At present the police is investigating the case and the accused is being interrogated. Officials say that the entire incident will be seriously investigated and action will be taken as per law.
