Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has called upon the young generation to understand and assimilate the Sarvodaya Sankalp thoughts of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi in their lives. Gehlot was addressing the participants from the state as the chief guest in the three-day residential Sarvodaya Sankalp Camp organized under the aegis of Bharat Seva Sansthan Foundation and Mahatma Gandhi Jeevan Darshan Sansthan at Jain Temple Bada Padampura on Wednesday. He said that, during the time of Congress government, Rajasthan was the first state in the country to establish Peace Non-Violence Department. Through this department, Gandhian ideas of truth, nonviolence and sarvodaya were put forward. He said that today the dream of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi of the 21st century is coming true in which it has become easier to convey the message of Mahatma Gandhi to the people through IT.
Gehlot stressed upon the participants to take advantage of the camp to take the ideals of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi to every village of the state. He said that in the present context, only the one who has knowledge is powerful. Earlier, Bharat Seva Sansthan President Rajeev Arora said that during Gehlot’s rule, he got the opportunity to serve the poor people sitting in every village of the state through public welfare schemes.
In the camp, former RPSC Chairman BM Sharma expressed his gratitude towards the participants while SS Joshi conducted the programme. Vikram Swami gave detailed information about the three-day residential camp. Former MLA Gopal Baheti, Meenakshi Chandrawat, Hanuman Sahay Sharma, state coordinator co-convenor, youth coordinator and women coordinators participated in the camp.
