New Delhi, May 20 (IANS). The video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi gifting ‘Melody’ toffee to Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni went viral on social media. After this viral moment, Melody manufacturing company Parle Products has thanked Prime Minister Modi in a special way.
Actually, Georgia Meloni shared a video on the social media platform ‘X’, in which PM Modi was seen giving her a packet of ‘Melody’ toffee. In the video, Meloni says smilingly, “Prime Minister Modi brought us a gift, a very very good toffee.” After this both the leaders say ‘Melody’ together. This video quickly went viral on the internet within a few hours.
As soon as the video went viral, Parle Products also reacted on its official social media accounts. The company wrote in the ‘X’ post, “Thank you to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who took Parle Melody to the global stage. It is a proud moment for all of us that India’s favorite toffee is now being shared across the borders.”
The company also shared this video on Instagram and wrote the caption, “Sweetening relationships since 1983.”
This ‘Melody Moment’ became a record breaking topic of discussion on social media. According to reports, this light-hearted video of PM Modi and Georgia Meloni got 100 million or more than 10 crore views within a few hours. Internet users are continuously sharing this video and words like ‘Parle’ and ‘Melody’ became the most searched keywords on Google and ‘X’.
The interesting thing is that the effect of this viral video was also seen in the stock market. The shares of ‘Parle Industries’ rose and its stock reached the upper circuit, whereas Melody Toffee manufacturing company Parle Products is a separate and unlisted company.
At present, this ‘Melody Moment’ of PM Modi and Meloni remains a topic of discussion across the world.
