Lucknow, 20 September (). Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made a grand inauguration of the fourth Gomti Book Festival held at Lucknow University. On this occasion, the Chief Minister interacted with young children and emphasized the importance of introducing them to books.

He presented books to schoolgirls and Anganwadi Didi. He said that good books always become a guide of our life by becoming a worthy guide and leads life forward. The Chief Minister said that the book fair will run at Lucknow University for the next nine days, where the readers will be able to experience the great of knowledge and literature.

He appealed to children and youth to read at least one hour creative and informative books by spending less time on smartphones. Giving the example of Indian mystics and sages, the Chief Minister said that sages like Yajnavalkya showed the path of knowledge to society. He narrated the context of Yajnavalkya Rishi and his wives Katyayini and Maitreyi, saying that the discovery of knowledge should be the highest goal of life.

He appreciated the National Book Trust and said that it has continuously carried forward the tradition of Gomti Book Festival. This year’s festival has more than two hundred and fifty stalls, in which books from child creators to noted writers are available and available for sale in various languages.

The Chief Minister presented the book ‘Exam Warriors’ to the children, which has been written by the Prime Minister. He said that if children study all the points of this book, then it will be easy to achieve success in any exam or competition. The Chief Minister referred to the achievements of Taxila University, Panini, Sushruta and Brahmavathas, referring to the Indian knowledge tradition. He said that Taxila was named after Taksha, son of Lord Rama’s brother Bharata. He said that reading and moving forward has been the tradition of India and the Prime Minister’s views ‘Wen Citizen Reeds, Country Leeds’ are part of this message.

Referring to the fundamental compositions of Maharishi Valmiki and Tulsidas ji, the Chief Minister said that original compositions are not only immortal, but also make the author immortal. He urged the students to study good books along with their studies. She also reiterated the message of healthy women, strong society and said that if women are healthy then society and nation will be empowered. He appealed to the children of all schools in Lucknow to come to this book festival and every student must buy at least one book.
