Uttarakhand News: Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday presented appointment letters to a total of 483 candidates selected on various posts under the Irrigation Department and Agriculture Department at the Chief Sevak Sadan located in the Chief Minister Camp Office. In which 473 posts are included in Irrigation and 10 posts in Agriculture Department.
Paying tribute to former Chief Minister and Major General (Retd) Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri, Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Khanduri ji had dreamed of such an Uttarakhand, where the youth would be recognized by their hard work and talent. He said that the appointment letters being received by the youth today is a proof that the state government is fulfilling their dreams.
The Chief Minister said that this distribution of appointment letters is a recognition of the hard work, dedication and determination of the talented youth. Expressing confidence, he said that the youth will definitely play an important role in the development of the state and the nation by discharging their responsibilities with full dedication, honesty and spirit of service. He said that behind the success of the youth lies the sacrifice of parents, struggle of the family and years of hard work. The Chief Minister said that only when the recruitment process is transparent, qualified and honest people come into the system.
The Chief Minister said that the state government implemented the country’s strictest anti-copying law. The results of the anti-copying law are emerging. Today job selection is done on the basis of hard work and talent. This new work culture is becoming the biggest strength of Uttarakhand. The result of which is that in four and a half years, about 33 thousand youth have got government jobs in the government.
The Chief Minister said that everyone’s aim should be to serve Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. Any department is not run by buildings and files but by hardworking and honest people. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is moving forward with the resolve of Developed India-2047. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, the state government is also continuously working to strengthen the irrigation and agriculture sectors.
The Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is touching new heights of development. The GSDP growth rate of the state has been recorded at 7.23 percent. Per capita income has increased by about 41 percent in the last four years. The state budget size has crossed Rs 1 lakh crore. There has been a record decline in the unemployment rate. There has been a significant increase in reverse migration. Today the youth of the hills are not looking for migration but are seeing possibilities.
Irrigation Minister Shri Satpal Maharaj, while congratulating all the selected youth, said that this moment is the beginning of active participation of youth in the journey of development of Uttarakhand. He said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the transparent, fair and merit-based recruitment process in the state has been continuously strengthened. Today the youth of Uttarakhand have started realizing that they will definitely get benefits from their hard work, talent and dedication.
The Irrigation Minister said that the Irrigation Department is not only the department of canals and projects, but is also the strong foundation of farmers’ prosperity, water conservation and rural economy. He expressed confidence that the newly appointed employees will also become participants in the progress of the state and the expectations of the people.
Agriculture Minister Shri Ganesh Joshi said that all the youth are going to start a new chapter in their lives. After the implementation of strict anti-copying law on the instructions of the Chief Minister, now only eligible and hardworking children are getting appointments. He said that today lakhs of youth are starting a new chapter through startups and innovation.
