New Delhi/Jaipur. International Conference on Democracy and Election Management (IICDEM–2026), a three-day global conference in the field of democracy and election management, was organized from 21 to 23 January 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
Chief Electoral Officer Naveen Mahajan said that under the conference on Friday, a special session was organized by the Rajasthan Election Department on the topic “Elections, Media and Voter Awareness”. In this session, experiences, innovations and best practices gained by Rajasthan Election Department in the field of election management were shared on the international platform. The session was moderated by Chief Electoral Officer, Rajasthan, Naveen Mahajan.
Prominent speakers who addressed the session included-
Senior election officer Albina Rozandich from Croatia, Mukhtar Yerman, Vice Chairman of the Central Election Commission from Kazakhstan, Dr. Aastha Saxena, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication from Purnima University, Jaipur, Ashish Goyal, Director General (Media), Election Commission of India.
It is noteworthy that Croatia and Kazakhstan are the partner countries of Rajasthan in IICDEM–2026, which will further enrich this session with international experiences and perspectives.
Ms. Christy McCormick, Commissioner, US Election Assistance Commission and Chief Electoral Officer of Guyana was also present at the session.
