The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the application process for revaluation and re-totaling after the declaration of 10th and 12th board exam results 2026. Students who have any doubt regarding their marks obtained or evaluation of answer sheet can apply through online mode.
Students got a chance to re-check their marks.
Through the portal opened by the board, students can apply for checking of their answer sheet, recalculation of marks and revaluation. This facility is important for students who feel that there is an error in checking their copy or a mistake in adding marks.
Will have to apply online
Interested students can visit the official website of CBSE and apply as per the prescribed procedure. At the time of application students have to enter roll number, school number and other required information. Besides, the prescribed fee will also have to be paid through online medium.
What is re-totaling and revaluation?
Re-totaling
In this process, the marks given in the answer sheet are added again. If there is any mistake in adding the marks then it is rectified.
Revaluation
In this, the answers in the answer sheet are re-evaluated. If any answer has been ignored during checking or there has been an error in awarding marks, it can be corrected.
Keep these things in mind before applying
Applications will be accepted through online mode only. No application will be accepted after the prescribed last date. After revaluation, marks may increase, decrease or remain the same. Students should carefully read the guidelines issued by the board before applying.
When will the revised result come?
CBSE will release the revised results after the process of revaluation and re-totaling is completed. If there is a change in the marks of any student, a new marksheet will also be provided.
