The 2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza may include several major updates including a new design, new engine and underbody CNG tank.
Launched in February 2016 and currently in its second generation, Maruti Suzuki’s Brezza has been one of the most successful SUVs for the company and has sold more than 10 lakh units so far. It was introduced in a completely new avatar in June 2022 and now its facelift version is expected to be launched in the next 1-2 months.
Maruti Suzuki started testing the new Brezza long ago and several of its test models have been seen on Indian roads. Many cosmetic changes will be made in the updated model to keep it competitive in the market. Talking about the exterior, the new Brezza is likely to get updated headlamp graphics, newly designed bumpers, new front grille and revised lower air intake.
Apart from this, new 16-inch alloy wheels and new color options can also be introduced. On the interior, the dashboard design may be changed and the current 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system may be replaced by a larger 10.1-inch unit. Along with this, features like fully digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats with power adjustment for the driver and ambient lighting can also be added.

On the safety front, level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) technology can also be included in the top variant, which will make Brezza more premium and safe than before. The current Brezza gets a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. However, this engine does not enjoy the benefit of 18 percent GST applicable on engines up to 1,200 cc.
In such a situation, Maruti Suzuki can introduce 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine with the facelift model, due to which some variants will be able to take advantage of lower GST slab. This 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine can produce around 99 HP of power and 147.6 Nm of torque. It is likely to be offered with a choice of 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Another big change can be seen in the CNG variant. Underbody CNG tank can be provided in the new Brezza CNG, which will free up the boot space and provide the facility to keep more luggage during long journeys. However, the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine is likely to be retained in the CNG version.
