New Delhi, June 4 (IANS). The central government said on Thursday that 1.43 crore domestic LPG cylinders have been supplied in the last three days and 1.5 crore bookings have been seen during this period. Also said that despite the challenging situation in West Asia, the government is ensuring uninterrupted supply and stability for all sectors.

The government further said that no gas outage has been reported at any LPG distributor in the country, which shows that the supply remains normal.

The government also noted the rapid increase in digital and secure delivery mechanisms, which has led to an industry-wide online LPG cylinder booking increase of nearly 99 per cent in the last 24 hours.

Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) based distribution has also been increased to about 96 per cent with an aim to prevent manipulation at the distributor level.

DAC code is sent to the consumers registered mobile number to confirm and authenticate the delivery.

The government has decided to limit the total commercial allocation to 70 per cent of the pre-crisis level, including a reform-based component of 10 per cent.

The government reported that during the three-day period, around 1.57 lakh 5-kg FTL cylinders were sold, along with around 9,200 cylinders distributed through around 520 camps.

Officials also said that a total of 19,372 metric tonnes of commercial LPG and about 649 metric tonnes of auto LPG were sold by public sector oil marketing companies in the last three days.

The government said these measures are part of a coordinated strategy to ensure fuel security, maintain supply chains and protect consumers in this period of geopolitical uncertainty.
