New Delhi, June 10 (IANS). In today’s busy life, people adopt various measures to stay healthy. Some go to the gym, some take a walk in the morning, and some take the help of yoga. There are not only asanas in yoga, but there are also many such hand postures, doing which is beneficial for the body and mind. One of these is zero currency. This is an easy yoga pose, which can be done sitting anywhere.
The method of doing Shoonya Mudra is very easy. First of all, sit in Padmasana. After this, place both hands on the knees. Now bend the middle finger and hold it with light pressure with the thumb. Keep the remaining fingers straight. During this time, keep breathing normal and try to keep the mind calm. After remaining in this posture for a few minutes, slowly bring the hands to normal position.
According to experts related to yoga, Shoonya Mudra is considered to be most beneficial for the ears. It is said that it helps in improving the energy balance in the body. When the body is in good balance, some common problems related to ears can get relief.
This posture is also considered good for the throat. It is useful for people who talk a lot, sing songs or have a job that requires continuous speaking. While doing this mudra, both body and mind remain calm, which gives relief to the throat muscles. Many yoga instructors believe that this helps in keeping the voice clear and better.
Shunya Mudra affects not only the body but also the mind. Nowadays the problem of stress and anxiety has become very common. In such a situation, when a person sits quietly for a few minutes and practices this posture, his attention shifts from other things to himself. With this the mind gradually begins to calm down. This is why it is also considered good for mental peace.
Doing this posture also helps in improving blood flow in the body. When a person sits comfortably and takes deep and normal breaths, the body feels relaxed. This improves the process of blood reaching different parts of the body. Good blood circulation plays an important role in keeping the body healthy.
This posture is also considered helpful in breathing problems. During exercise, the person pays attention to his breathing, which can improve breathing habits. Regular exercise can help the body get more oxygen.
However, it is important to keep some things in mind while doing this posture. This should not be practiced immediately after eating food. If there is pain, injury or any problem in the thumb or middle finger, then advice of a doctor or yoga expert should be taken before doing this.
