Mumbai . Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and MP Sanjay Raut has written a letter to Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti. He has made serious allegations of threatening MP Sanjay Patil, who left Shiv Sena-UBT and joined Eknath Shinde’s faction. Along with this, Raut has filed a case against the MP and demanded his arrest. Referring to the alleged statements, Sanjay Raut alleged that ‘rebel’ MP Sanjay Patil has threatened to kill the protesters. Raut said that all the statements of Sanjay Patil are proof of his involvement in terrorism and criminal activities. Immediate action should be taken against them, otherwise I will be forced to approach the court to ensure public safety. He further said, “MP Patil’s threats have created an atmosphere of fear in the society. I want to say clearly here that if any political worker is attacked or murdered during this period, Sanjay Patil will be completely responsible for it.”
In his letter to Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti, the Shiv Sena-UBT MP wrote, “I want to draw your attention to a serious matter. Six MPs who separated from the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb) party have become victims of public anger across the country. There is huge anger among the people of Maharashtra regarding this defection. Feeling cheated, voters are protesting at many places. Protesting and holding the elected representatives accountable is the constitutional right of the citizens. However, ‘rebel’ MP from North-East Mumbai, Sanjay Patil, has threatened to kill the protesters.
According to Sanjay Raut, MP Patil, in his so-called statement while threatening the protesters, said, “Don’t mess with me. Get your life insurance done before protesting against me. I will send you straight to the crematorium or hospital.” Threatening, he adds, “I have killed five people before. If anyone protests against me, I will throw bombs at them. I will enter their houses and kill them.”
“There should be an investigation into who those five people were and when and why Sanjay Patil killed them. Since the accused himself has admitted this, a case of murder should be registered against him immediately,” the Shiv Sena-UBT MP said in his letter.
Sanjay Raut wrote, “Mumbai Police Commissioner Devan Bharti, an MP, threatening to throw a bomb is worrying. If he has made these bombs at home, his house should be searched immediately with the help of Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). If he has received these bombs from any terrorist group, then it should be considered a serious matter of national security and he should be immediately arrested under UAPA for his involvement in terrorist and anti-national activities.”
