Bollywood actor Salman Khan may soon move out of his ‘Galaxy Apartment’ in Bandra and move to a new building. This step is being seen in the context of the continuous threats received from Bishnoi gang and the firing incident that took place outside his house in 2024. According to reports, Salman Khan is building a house on a land he has purchased in Bandra. The actor has got approval for the construction of this new six-storey house. Sources say that after the completion of the construction, the actor will move into the new house with his entire family.
**Salman Khan’s new beach-side home in Bandra**
Salman Khan’s six-storey house to be built in Bandra will be on the seashore. Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) approved the project on June 16. The new house will be built in Chimbai area of Bandra, which is a short distance from their current house ‘Galaxy Apartment’. Salman Khan has been living in Galaxy Apartment since 1974.
It is noteworthy that in 2024, two assailants riding a bike had opened fire outside the Galaxy Apartment. During investigation, the attackers were found to be related to Bishnoi gang. After this incident, Salman Khan’s security was upgraded to ‘Y+’ category. Also, the balcony from where he used to greet his fans has been protected with bulletproof glass.
**New house being built on mother Salma Khan’s land**
According to MCZMA sources, the new house will be built on the land of Salman Khan’s mother Salma Khan. There was a two-storey house built before 1956 on this plot; After the family purchased it, it was demolished due to its dilapidated condition. The new building will have a ground floor, stilt parking and six upper floors, with a total built-up area of approximately 1,014 square metres. This project will be built by ‘Sach Developers’. BMC had issued ‘Intimation of Disapproval’ (IOD) – i.e. initial approval – for this project in October 2025. It has been said that no trees will be cut during the construction work; Instead, new trees of local species will be planted in the campus and surrounding areas. Located in a quiet lane away from the main road, this new house will provide Salman Khan and his family more security and privacy than before. However, there has been no response from Salman Khan or his team regarding this entire project.
