SP’s strict warning to those spreading rumors
Sriganganagar. The police administration seems to be fully prepared and strict in the case of alleged sexual harassment of a 13-year-old minor girl in Sriganganagar district of Rajasthan. Considering the sensitivity of the matter, the police is continuously taking swift action. Sriganganagar District Superintendent of Police (SP) Harishankar has shared the official information about the current status of the case and police action.
12 accused arrested so far including hotel manager
Superintendent of Police Harishankar said that in this recent case involving a minor girl, the police is taking continuous action without any laxity:
Data of arrests: Showing promptness, the police have arrested the main accused involved in this heinous act as well as the manager of the concerned hotel who was flouting the rules. A total of 12 arrests have been made so far in the case.
Intensive interrogation continues: Action is being taken against all the arrested accused under strict legal sections and the police is interrogating them intensively. The SP clarified that during the investigation, if any other person is found involved in this crime, then very strict legal action will be taken against him also.
Rumors and misleading news will be banned
Considering the sensitivity of the matter, the Superintendent of Police has made a special and emotional appeal to the general public. He said that efforts are being made by some anti-social elements and media to spread rumors and mislead the public regarding this matter.
“Stay away from misleading reports”: SP Harishankar has appealed to the public not to believe any kind of misleading and fabricated news circulating on social media or other mediums. He warned in a strict tone that the police will identify any person or group who spreads false rumors or wrong information regarding this sensitive matter and will take the strictest legal action against them.
Administration will take action against hotels that violate rules
After this incident, the police administration has taken a strict stance regarding security and compliance of rules at local hotels and places of stay:
Hotels will be sealed: The Superintendent of Police has clearly said that any hotels found violating the laid down rules, guidelines and mandatory procedures (such as not taking identity cards or supporting suspicious activities), they will either be sealed with immediate effect or strict legal action will be taken against them.
Administrative process started: The police department has had detailed discussions with the district administration in this regard and the administrative process has already been started to take strict action against the hotels violating the rules.
The police is strictly monitoring this entire case so that the victim can be provided speedy justice and the criminals can be given strict punishment for their actions.
