Maruti Suzuki’s Brezza facelift has also been awarded a 5-star safety rating in India NCAP. The Brezza facelift has achieved a 5-star safety rating in both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP) tests. It got 30.41/32 points in AOP and 43/49 points in COP.
In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the driver’s head, neck, pelvis, thighs and legs received good protection, while the chest and tibia (leg bone) received adequate protection. In the same test, all the vital parts of the co-driver got good protection, except the tibia, which got adequate protection. In the side movable barrier and side pole impact test, all critical parts of the passenger, such as head, chest, abdomen and pelvis, got good protection. The result was OK in the side pole impact test (pole).
For the COP test, child seats of 18-month and 3-year-old dummies were installed rearward-facing. Test results reveal that both the dummies scored a full 8 out of 8 points in the frontal crash test and 4 out of 4 points in the side crash test. The 2026 Maruti Brezza scored 24 out of 24 in the Dynamic score and 12 out of 12 in the CRS Installation score, but it lost 6 points in the Vehicle Assessment score. As a result, the compact SUV scored 43 out of 49 points in the overall child occupant protection test.
