Maruti Suzuki Invicto has secured 30.43 marks out of 32 in adult safety in India NCAP crash test and 45 out of 49 in child safety
Maruti Suzuki Invicto was tested under the India NCAP protocol and the results suggest that this three-in-world MPV is one of its safest vehicles in its category. In this crash test, the alpha+ (7-seater) and Zeta+ (8-seater) variants of Invicto have performed well in both adult and children’s safety category.
In the investigation of adult passenger safety, this MPV scored 30.43 out of 32, which is one of the best scores in the recent Test. In the frontal offset crash test, the vehicle performed well and scored full marks in the side impact test. It is clear that its body structure is strong and safety systems work properly. The safety of the driver and passenger received good coverage in most essential parts, where the effect of the collision was more.
When it came to the safety of children, Invitto scored 45 out of 49. It got a full 24/24 marks in the Test conducted on the rear-faceing seat of 18 months and 3-year-old children. It also got 12/12 marks in seat fitting checks. Only a little less marks came in the vehicle evaluation part, but still this vehicle is considered to be excellent for the safety of children.
The vehicle weighs 1,946 kg in the crash test. All trims include six airbags as standard tools that cover further, side and cutan zones, while side chests and pelvis airbags are also installed. However, airbags are not given for knees. There are seatbelt pretensers and loaded limits for both the next seats and the three-point seatbelt along with the reminder is available in all the seats.
Electronic stability control, pedestrian safety systems and ABS (anti-lock braking system) are part of the Package of EBD (electronic breakforce distribution) inwrist, which are available as standard throughout the portfolio. The MPV also has features such as four disc brakes, hill-hold assist, tire pressure monitoring and auto hold with electronic parking brakes. For the safety of children, ISOFIX anchors are given on the outer seats of the second line, but they are not available in the third line.
This evaluation of India NCAP applies to Zeta+ and Alpha+ variants of the Tests Test in July 2025. It consisted of both models with seven and eight seats. These results will also be considered applicable to other variants with the same specifications.
Commenting on this achievement, MD and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Hisashi Takeuchi said, “Security has always been the original of Maruti Suzuki’s product philosophy. It helps in choosing a vehicle wisely.
