New Delhi/Lucknow, 4 October (IANS). The Samajwadi Party delegation, who went on a tour of Bareilly after the poster controversy ‘I Love Mohammed’, has been stopped on the Meerut Expressway. Mohibullah and Iqra Hasan along with SP MP Harendra Malik left Delhi for Bareilly on Saturday, but they were stopped by the police.
SP MP Mohibullah told IANS, “Laws and constitution are being flown in Bareilly. People of a particular community are being harassed. On Saturday, the delegation is going to see them on the instructions of the party.”
He said that this is a fight against hate and discrimination, in which Samajwadi Party will win. Mohibullah also said that the police have done barricading, but we will go to Bareilly.
On being stopped by the police, SP MP Harendra Malik said that we are being treated like this even after going to our country and state. He said, “If the terrorists were treated like this, then Pulwama and Pahalgam would not have been attacked. They should have been stopped, this was the real bravery.”
Harendra Malik said, ‘We are going to Bareilly to heal the wounds of the people. Efforts are being made to target the government’s ideology in the state. “
MP Iqra Hasan said that everyone is worried about the situation in Bareilly. A community is constantly being harassed. He said that ‘I Love Mohammed’ this is a positive message. There is nothing to hate in this, but due to irritation, the administration is taking action and has power in it.
The Samajwadi Party had decided to send a delegation of 14 MPs and MLAs to meet the protesters in Bareilly after lathicharge. It also includes Samajwadi Party MP Ziaurrahman Burke and Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey in Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. However, these two leaders are being accused of being under house arrest before they leave Bareilly.
