What is devotion? How does one find joy in devotion? What is the reason for devotees always being happy? Devotion is a dedication, where God is in control and not the devotee. On the path of devotion, you have to hone yourself and test whether you will be able to walk on the path like a sword, will you not get intimidated by the difficulties of sadhana?
To test your strong will power, Guru and God test you again and again, that is why only the one who has done devotion can tell you all this or know it by doing devotion yourself. The joy of devotion can be achieved only by doing devotion. The reason for a devotee being happy is that he offers everything i.e. happiness and sorrow to his God and leaves everything to his will. – Sudhanshu Acharya
This is the reason why happiness, sorrow, sunshine and shadows cannot defeat him and he always remains happy in every situation, because he believes that God’s will is behind everything. This state of selflessness comes when the devotee becomes completely desireless, there is no desire of any kind in his mind, when desires come to an end from the mind. Only then God is realized.
God himself starts taking care of his devotee, just as a mother takes care of her child, she does not leave him alone for a moment, but as the child grows up, he starts taking all the decisions himself, gradually the mother becomes careless leaving him to his own devices and the child himself is responsible for his good and bad. In the same way, when we leave God, God also leaves us.
Therefore, always remain a child in front of God, this is our benefit. Have full faith in God, do not let your faith weaken under any circumstances, believe that whatever He does, He will do good, this faith will not let you weaken anywhere.
