Ekadashi fast is considered very important in Hinduism. Ekadashi date comes twice every month. In this way, 24 Ekadashi fasts are kept in a year. It is believed that by fasting on this day, the seeker gets the grace of Lord Vishnu and gets rid of all the sufferings of life. Many seekers also observe Nirjala fast on this day according to their reverence.
Ekadashi worship method
On the day of Ekadashi, wake up early in the morning and meditate on Lord Vishnu and take a pledge to fast. After this, take a bath and wear clean clothes. After cleaning the temple, sprinkle Ganga water. Now install an idol or picture of Lord Vishnu at a post at the place of worship. Light a lamp of pure ghee in front of Lord Srihari and worship with law. Offer yellow flowers, yellow clothes, Tulsi Dal, sandalwood etc. to Lord Vishnu in worship. Offer fruits, panchamrit and sweets etc. in enjoyment. Finally perform the Aarti of Lord Vishnu and distribute the offerings to all.
