In view of the continuous heavy rains in Nashik district of Maharashtra, the administration has taken a big decision. Keeping in mind the safety of devotees and common people, orders have been issued to keep all the temples and schools in the district closed.
After this order of the administration, the darshan system in the famous Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga temple has also been temporarily stopped. Devotees arriving in large numbers are not being allowed to enter the temple premises.
Decision taken regarding the safety of devotees
Trimbakeshwar Temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in the country and thousands of devotees come here every day for darshan. But in view of the possibility of waterlogging and other problems in the area due to heavy rains, the administration has taken precautionary measures.
Officials say that the darshan system in the temple will be resumed only after the weather conditions become normal.
Trouble increased due to heavy rain in Nashik
It is raining continuously in many areas of Nashik district. Due to rain, the water level in rivers and streams has increased and people are facing problems in movement at many places.
In view of the weather conditions, the administration has appealed to the people to remain alert and avoid unnecessary travel.
Schools were also closed
In view of the heavy rain and possible danger, the district administration has decided to keep the schools closed. This step has been taken giving priority to the safety of children.
Religious significance of Trimbakeshwar Temple
Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga Temple is included in the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. This temple is located near the origin of the Godavari River and is a major center of faith for Shiva devotees across the country.
Every year lakhs of devotees come here for darshan. Special crowd is seen here on festivals like Sawan and Mahashivratri.
At present, the administration has stopped darshan in the temple in view of the severe weather conditions. Devotees have been appealed to follow the weather and instructions of the administration.
