Jammu. The pilgrimage for the Mata Vaishno Devi Cave Temple in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir will start again from Sunday after being postponed for 19 days. The officers provided this information. The yatra was postponed after a landslide on August 26, killing 34 people and 20 others were injured.
Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDB) announced in a post on ‘X’ and said, “Jai Mata Di! The Vaishno Devi Yatra will resume from 14 September (Sunday) in the event of the weather being favorable. For details and booking, please visit the website. ”
The board said that temporary suspension was necessary due to bad weather conditions and necessary maintenance of the route leading to the temple. The board said that the journey will resume as per the scheduled schedule, provided the weather conditions remain favorable. The SMVDB spokesperson advised pilgrims to keep legitimate identity cards, follow the prescribed routes and cooperate with the employed employees.
