At least 4 new SUVs are going to be launched in the Indian market by next month, which will include models from Tata, Honda, Nissan and Skoda.
July 2026 is going to be very special for the Indian automobile market, because many new premium cars are going to be launched this month. These include models from both domestic and foreign companies. The special thing is that by next month at least 4 new SUVs will hit the Indian market, which include models from Nissan, Tata, Honda and Skoda.
1.Nissan Tekton
Nissan Tekton will debut on July 9. This SUV will be based on the new Renault Duster and will come with a design inspired by the Nissan Patrol. A more premium and attractive look will be seen in its exterior. Engine options could include a 1.0-litre turbo petrol (99 hp) and 1.3-litre turbo petrol (161 hp). Both engines will come with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while the 1.3-litre engine will also get the option of a 6-speed DCT. Its hybrid version may also be introduced in early 2027.
2. Tata Sierra.ev
Tata Sierra.ev will be the company’s second mid-size electric SUV, which will compete with the Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti e Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella. This will be the first SUV in its segment, which will have both single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD options. It is also expected to have advanced technology like bi-directional charging. Its driving range can be up to about 600 kilometers. Tata Motors will launch it on June 30 and its prices may be announced in July.
3.Honda ZR-V
Honda ZR-V is the company’s new global C-SUV, which will be imported from Japan as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) in India. It will have a hybrid powertrain producing 181 hp, which claims to give a mileage of up to 22.8 km/litre. Talking about the features, it will have features like 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, 9-inch touchscreen, 12-speaker Bose audio system, power seats, 8 airbags and ADAS technology.
4. Skoda Kodiaq RS
Skoda Kodiaq RS will be the most performance-oriented SUV from the company. It will get a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine which produces 261 hp power and 400 Nm torque. With this, 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox and AWD system will be available as standard. This SUV can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds and its top speed is 231 km/h. The Skoda Kodiaq RS was limited to just 50 units and all its units were sold out within just 6 minutes of the bookings opening.
