New Delhi. Signaling Bajaj Auto’s intention to strengthen its 125cc Pulsar portfolio, the Indian two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturer is gearing up for the launch of the new Pulsar P125. This development comes under the company’s existing lineup which includes the on-going Pulsar 125 and Pulsar NS125 models. Spotted testing recently, the latest in the competitive segment, the Bajaj Pulsar P150, is expected to be launched soon. Bajaj has renamed the Pulsar P150 as Pulsar N150. The company launched the P range in November 2022.
The design of the currently running Pulsar model is about 15 years old. However, the look of the new Pulsar test model suggests that Bajaj may possibly consider shifting the Pulsar P range from 150cc to 125cc class due to the relatively low sales of the Pulsar P150. Therefore, the company introduced Pulsar N150 to gain market share. This re-introduction of the Pulsar P range in the 125 cc segment holds vital importance for Bajaj, as the 125 cc Pulsars attract a large number of footfalls in the showrooms.
The sales figures also reflect the popularity of the 125cc Pulsar, with figures for September 2023 showing that it accounted for 35% of Bajaj’s total sales, making it the best-selling bike for the company. The estimated ex-showroom price of the upcoming P125 is expected to be around Rs 90,000.
What to expect from the new Pulsar P125?
From the spy shots, it is clear that the primary design of the Pulsar P125 looks similar to the Pulsar P150. The testing model appeared completely open. No changes are expected in the body panels or components of this Pulsar P range model. Notable features include a sleek and lightweight body frame, a large projector headlamp, an attractive LED headlight assembly, a unibrow-type LED DRL signature.
