BMW F 450 GS is available in three variants and has a new 420 cc parallel-twin engine, which gives power of 47 bhp.
BMW Motorrad has launched its new adventure bike BMW F 450 GS in India. Its price has been kept between Rs 4.70 lakh to Rs 5.30 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available in three variants Base, Exclusive and GS Trophy. Its booking has started at BMW Motorrad India dealerships and deliveries are expected to start from June 2026. This twin-cylinder adventure bike will be manufactured at the TVS Motor Company plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, while its development has been done in Germany.
In the Indian market, it will compete with Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM 390 Adventure and Kawasaki Ninja 500. The BMW F 450 GS is built on a welded tubular steel frame with integrated forged parts. It follows the ‘GS’ design philosophy, which includes elements like X-shaped full LED headlight, front beak, split seat, tapered aluminum handlebar and body-coloured side panels. Its fuel tank is of 14 liters and seat height is kept at 845 mm.
The Base and Exclusive variants come in Cosmic Black colour, while the GS Trophy variant gets Racing Blue Metallic color with red and white accents. The tank center cover in the GS Trophy is given in Snaefell White, while in other variants it is available in matte black finish.
This bike comes with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear aluminum wheels, which are fitted with tubeless tyres. For braking, a single disc is provided in the front and a single disc is also provided in the rear. Suspension gets USD front forks and a double-arm swingarm at the rear with progressive damping.
Talking about the features, it has been provided with features like Easy Ride Clutch (ERC), Shift Assistant Pro, USB-C charging, heated grips and adjustable hand levers. The BMW F 450 GS gets four riding modes, which include Rain, Road, Enduro and Enduro Pro. Enduro Pro mode is specifically for off-roading, in which wheelie control and rear ABS are switched off.
For safety, it has been provided with features like ABS Pro, Dynamic Brake Control, Dynamic Traction Control and Engine Drag Torque Control. Apart from this, a 6.5-inch TFT display is available, in which options like ‘Pure Ride Screen’ and ‘Sport Screen’ are provided. This bike has a new 420cc twin-cylinder engine, which generates power of 47 bhp at 8750 rpm and torque of 43 Nm at 6750 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. BMW Motorrad is also offering many accessories with this bike, which include protection parts, luggage options and navigation equipment.
