Citroen Aircross X will include new features like recently launched C3 X and Basalt X in India
Citrane India has finally released the first teaser of Aircross X, which confirms that this SUV is close to launch. Its booking has started and the initial token amount has been kept at Rs 11,000. At the same time, the company has recently launched C3 X and Basalt X in the domestic market. As you can expect, there will be many new changes in the aercross X.
The teaser features a glimpse of cruise control and modified seat upholstery, while ventilated seats for the driver and forward passenger in the additional kit, wireless smartphone charging facility, push-button engine start, auto-dimming IRVM, wireless phone chilling and probably Rs 25,000 are expected to be included at high trimes.
In top-spec models, Citrane can also include its Cara Smart AI Assistant as most of the features will repeat the updates found in C3 X and Basalt X. Given that the French Auto giants already provide security equipment such as six airbags, anti-lock brakes with EBD, electronic stability program (ESP) standard, we do not expect any major changes to it.
In terms of security, the company is already introducing the required features like EBD and ESP with six airbags, ABS as standard. In the case of engine, no major mechanical changes are expected. The brand will introduce its old 1.2-liter natural aspirated petrol and a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine, of which the turbo petrol engine will be available only for aercross x trims.
The turbo unit produces maximum power of 110 bhp and peak torque of 190 Nm with 6-speed manual transmission, while 6-speed automatic variants produce torque up to 205 Nm. Citrane will probably reserve X badges for the top-spec trims of aercross. Since coming to the market, Citrane has been undergoing time to increase its biggest product and showroom.
With the updated variants, Citroen plans to double its reach across India by the end of this financial year. Taking forward this speed, the company will now also bring C3 and CNG models of Aircross, to attract more customers.
