Kia has announced a huge cut in the prices of its ICE (Petrol/Diesel) model after the government reduced GST rates on cars last week. The company will take this full advantage to the customers from 22 September. Most of the car companies in India have decided that they will directly benefit the customers from the GST 2.0.
Kaya Sonnet is the most affordable SUV of the company and now its price has been reduced by Rs 1,64,471. Currently, it is priced between Rs 7,99,900 to Rs 15,63,900 (ex-showroom Delhi). It is also the company’s best -selling model.
The sales of Kia Siros in the Indian market have been weak so far and now after the new GST is implemented, its price will be reduced by Rs 1,86,003. Currently, it is priced between Rs 9,49,900 to Rs 17,79,900 (ex-showroom Delhi). In July, Sonnet had sold 7,627 units, while only 834 units of Siros were sold.

At the same time, the price of Kia Sailtose has been cut by Rs 75,372 and its current price ranges from Rs 11,18,900 to Rs 20,55,900 (ex-showroom Delhi). Currently Kia is working on a new generation model and is expected to be launched in 2026. By 2028 it will also be launched with a hybrid engine engine. The Government of India is considering all the cars (except electric cars) as luxury vehicles and taxing them. Earlier, they used to take 45-50% GST, which has now been reduced to 40%.
The price of Kia Carence will be reduced by Rs 48,513. At the same time, the price of its facelift version Carence Clavis will be reduced by Rs 78,674. There will be no change in the price of Kia Carerance Clavis EV and Kia EV6 as GST on electric vehicles is already 5 %. At the same time, Kia’s carnival MPV will have the highest reduction of Rs 4,48,542. It currently costs Rs 63,91,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new Kia Carnival has several premium features designed for luxury and convenience.
