Maruti Suzuki Hybrid Version Launched: The country’s largest car company Maruti Suzuki has launched the hybrid version of its popular sedan Dzire in the Philippines.
This is the same car that was updated in India last year and became Maruti’s first 5-star safety car. Now with hybrid technology, this car can also rock in terms of mileage. It is expected that it will soon come to India as well.
These cars will compete
Maruti has tested Swift Hybrid in India, which suggests that Dzire Hybrid may also come to the Indian market soon. This car will compete with cars like Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor.
What is special?
New engine and hybrid system: Hybrid Desire has a 1.2-liter Z12E 3-cylinder petrol engine, which gives 80 bhp power and 112 Nm torque. It has a 0.072 kwh battery and an electric motor of 2.93 bhp. This 12V smart hybrid system will increase mileage significantly, although the company has not yet given official information about mileage.
CVT Transmission: Maruti’s Dzire AMT comes in India with transmission, but the hybrid version has CVT (Kantinusally variable transmission), which will make driving more smooth.
Great features: The car has features like sporty look sharp grille, dual-tone interior, LED headlamps and tail lamps, rear AC vents. Features such as 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, and reverse parking sensors are standard for safety.
Price: Its price in the Philippines starts at 9.20 lakh Philippine Peso (about Rs 13.9 lakh). Its price in India may be slightly reduced.
